Now that I am registered for The NAFEM Show, what more do I need to prepare for the show?
Watch your mailbox in January 2013 for a registration packet containing your badge, general information, educational and networking opportunities at the show.  Keep visiting www.thenafemshow.org on a regular basis for important updates, and be sure to follow us on Twitter at twitter.com/TheNAFEMShow. We also are available to answer questions at +1.312.245.1054 or thenafemshow@nafem.org.

Can I access my registration record in advance of the show?
Yes, the NAFEM Attendee Resource Center is located here. The Attendee Resource Center allows you to:
  • Check your registration status
  • Edit your contact information
  • Add optional events to your existing registration
How do I book my travel arrangements for The NAFEM Show?
The NAFEM Show’s exclusive housing provider is Travel Planners. To make your reservations, call +1.800.221.3531 or +1.212.532.1660 Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. EST or book them online.

How do I plan my time at The NAFEM Show?
The NAFEM Show website (www.thenafemshow.org) is the place to go for regular updates to the schedule. Online and mobile tools will be available in the coming months to assist you in mapping out your schedule. A Show Program book and Pocket Guide Exhibit Hall Floor Plan will be distributed to all attendees upon entering the convention center.

What is the Global Networking Event?
The Global Networking Event (GNE) is an informal reception open to all exhibitors and non-U.S. attendees. The GNE is Wednesday, Feb. 6, at the Hilton Orlando. Tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased when registering here. Already registered but want to add a GNE ticket? Click here.

What is the All-Industry Celebration?
The All-Industry Celebration (AIC) is NAFEM’s final night event at the Orange County Convention Center. This first-class event celebrates the foodservice industry and will feature a performance by musician Jimmy Buffett. Tickets are $175 per person and can be purchased when registering here. What education is offered at The NAFEM Show?
Featured Speaker Danny Meyer, CEO of Union Square Hospitality Group, brings “The Power of Hospitality” to this year’s NAFEM Show. The first 200 attendees to Meyer’s session will receive free copies of his book. You’ll also hear from experts in the areas of food safety and green building practices with two courses customized specifically for foodservice professionals. ServSafe® Food Safety Training, is a two-part workshop with certification exam provides information on how to protect against food-borne illness outbreaks, minimize insurance costs, reduce liability risks and improve food quality. LEED Basics for Foodservice teaches the unique challenges of implementing green building practices in restaurant and hospitality spaces.

What happens in the NAFEM booth at The NAFEM Show?
The NAFEM booth offers a lounge area equipped with charging stations, Wayfinders and networking opportunities.  Hours are the same as exhibit hall hours. In addition, NAFEM representatives will be on hand to answer questions.

I keep hearing about WHAT’S HOT! WHAT’S COOL!® What is it?
The WHAT’S HOT! WHAT’S COOL!® new product gallery showcases the hottest, coolest and freshest innovations in foodservice equipment and supplies today. The gallery showcases products that tangibly improve operations in areas such as labor savings, sanitation, energy efficiency, food safety and lifecycle costs. WHAT’S HOT! WHAT’S COOL! is open during regular show hours.

What is ServSafe® Food Safety Training at The NAFEM Show?
The ServSafe® course at The NAFEM Show takes place Wednesday, Feb. 6, and Thursday, Feb. 7, at a cost of $200 per person. The course provides complete ServSafe® training and a certification exam for foodservice managers, owners, operators, F&B directors, chefs, line cooks, kitchen managers, dietary managers, dieticians and others who need Conference for Food Protection (CFP) approved food safety training and certification. The certification is valid for five years and is recognized internationally. Registration includes course materials (shipped to registrants before the course), instruction, certification exam, continental breakfast and lunch both days.

What is The NAFEM Show Scholarship Attendee Program?
Members of NAFEM allied industry organizations are eligible for a complimentary badge and up to $600 to offset travel and lodging expenses to/from The NAFEM Show. New in 2013, if you attended The NAFEM Show in 2011, you may apply for a $200 scholarship. Applications may be submitted when registering.

What is the Show Floor Reception?
Wind down the day at the Show Floor Reception, Thursday, Feb. 7 from 4 – 6 p.m. Enjoy food and drinks during the last few hours of valuable networking time right on the show floor. Ask the foodservice equipment and supplies experts your pressing questions and get more one-on-one time to find your answers. The reception is free of charge and open to all attendees.
